All the rules of the cricket, as established by the International Cricket Council will be followed in the tournament, with the exceptions listed below:-

1) The game time is 11am SHARP.  If the team does not have 11 players at the start of the game, it will have to play with however many players it has or take the penalty of 1 over for every 5 minutes delayed for the start.  Unless under some exceptional circumstances, this rule is non-negotiable.  It is not fair for the team that comes on time and has to wait and tire in the heat for a few hours before the opponents arrive.

2) The number of overs to be played during the regular league games will be 30 and for the final it will be 35.

3) The top two teams at the end of the Robin-round will make it to the final.  The team with the first spot will get the home-field advantage for the final.  This will of course be based on the number of wins/losses.  The winning team gets 2 points and the loosing team gets 0 points.  In case of a tie, both teams get 1 point each.  In case of a tie between teams to qualify for the final, tie will be broken as following, with ‘a’ being the first tie breaker, and ‘b’ being the second tie breaker, and so on.

            a) Winner of the head to head game, wins the tie.

b) If still tied, Net Run Rate as computed by the ICC for runs scored against runs given up will be used to break the tie.  Obviously the team with the better run-rate will go through.

c) If still tied, runs scored and the wickets lost will be compared.  The team with more runs scored per wicket wins the tie.

4) Please note that it is very difficult to provide neutral umpiring for the games, so the umpiring will have to be trust based.  So, it is expected of the umpires of all the teams to show sportsmanship in light of the game, and not make biased decisions for their own team!
